Elementary School And Nursary School Kašava

Information about our school

In 2003 the elementary school and the kindergarten in Kašava (Zlín District, Czech Republic) merged into one subject called "ZŠ & MŠ Kašava, allowance organisaton. This subject includes school dining hall and public nursery. The school was established by the Kašava municipality.

The elementary school Kašava is attended by children aged 6 to 15. The pupils come not only from Kašava – the majority of our pupils is represented by children commuting from neighbouring villages – Držková and Vlčková.

The school building is located in lovely surrounding of Hostýn hills nature in eastern part of the Czech Republic. The school area is completely immersed in greenery and is placed on the top of a sunny hill above the Kašava village. The central wing of the school has been built during 1946–1948. The final works on the central building and new gymnasium outbilding were launched in 1997 and finished as early as in 2000. The gymnasium is connected with the central building with a subterranean tunel. The spacious and modern gymnasium is frequently used even by public, this especially in winter months. The new building extension contains renovated school kitchen, school dining room, kindergarten and special classrooms which are equiped for informatics, music and householdkeeping lessons.

Recently there are two foreign languages taught at our school: English and German. There is a PC net in the school so that pupils can take advantage of all available multimedia including internet. Specially equiped physics and chemistry classrooms are at pupils disposal.

The informational centre and school library (incl. PC´s with internet connection) are in operation and they are free accessible for public.

There are many bees that provide place for developing children´s cra­tivity and for enables reasonable and fecund spending of their free time. The staff of „Základní umělecká škola Morava“ uses our capacities and teaches children playing various musical instruments. There are two playgrounds on the ground of the school – a footbal playground and a multi-purpose asphalt surface.
